The Job

We are looking for a qualified Event Manager to join our Marketing team who is experienced in planning and managing events effective globally. You should have extensive project management experience, including managing an annual department budget. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute global events, including community run events and corporate events.
  • Build out an events roadmap that extends beyond the traditional conference experience and aligns with the organization’s objectives.  
  • Manage an events team, owning all project management and end-to-end planning and execution.
  • Develop and manage an events budget based on marketing initiatives, community reach, and company goals.
  • Collaborate on marketing strategies for community and corporate events.
  • Able to articulately propose ideas to improve services and event quality.
  • Work closely with the Digital Content Manager and Marketing and Communications Manager to plan and promote marketing initiatives around events.
  • Produce event reports.
  • Maintain third parties/vendor relationships.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in business, marketing, communications, or event relevant field of study.
  • At least 6+ years of relevant event management/marketing experience.
  • Experience leading and successfully executing B2B events and conferences, roundtables and/or forums.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated success in project management.
  • A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility, and proven success delivering measurable event marketing results.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously when needed.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization.
  • Skilled negotiator with proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less and staying on budget.
  • Creative thinker who keeps up to date with current event and marketing trends.
  • Ability to manage your time, and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Travel required.
